What is a sight flow indicator? : A sight flow indicator is a device used to visually monitor the flow of liquids or gases in a pipeline or process system. It typically consists of a transparent or translucent body with a visible window through which the fluid or gas can be observed. The window is often made of glass or plastic materials that are compatible with the process fluid and operating conditions.
Inside the sight flow indicator, there is usually a flow indicator element such as a rotor, paddle, or float that moves in response to the flow of the fluid or gas. As the fluid or gas passes through the indicator, it causes the indicator element to move, providing a visual indication of flow. This allows operators to quickly and easily verify that the fluid or gas is flowing as expected and to detect any abnormalities or blockages in the system.
Sight flow indicators are commonly used in industrial processes, chemical processing plants, oil and gas refineries, water treatment facilities, and many other applications where monitoring flow is critical for maintaining operational efficiency and safety.
