Flame Arrester หลักการทํางาน คือ เมื่อเกิดประกายไฟวิ่งย้อนกลับอุปรณ์ Flame Arrester จำทำการลดความร้อน (Heat) ของเปลวไฟลง โดยการกระจายเปลวไฟผ่านช่องเล็กๆ ด้วยไส้ของ flame areestor ที่ทำจากสแตนเลสที่อุดแน่นและมีรูพรุน จะทำให้ประกายไฟลดอุณหภูมิจนต่ำกว่า อุณหภูมิจุดวาบไฟ ทำให้แก๊สเชื้อเพลิงภายในไม่สามารถติดไฟได้ไฟจึงดับ.
